The Cultural Heart of South Georgia

For more than half a century, the Annette Howell Turner Center for the Arts has given Valdosta something every great town needs: a place to stand in front of something beautiful and take it in. Seven galleries host roughly thirty exhibitions a year, spanning regional talent and nationally recognized names.

It serves Valdosta, Lowndes County, and the counties beyond as both museum and gathering place — with classes, events, and a permanent collection that belongs to the whole community. Admission is free, which is the point: art here isn't a luxury, it's a civic inheritance, open to anyone who walks through the door.

A treasure for Valdosta. The exhibits are always changing and the quality rivals museums in much bigger cities. And it's free — bring the whole family.

Seven galleries of genuinely impressive work. We go every time the shows rotate. The Turner Center makes this city better.
