A Family From Ancona
When the Pistelli family arrived from Ancona on Italy's Adriatic coast, they brought a single, stubborn conviction: food should be made the way Nonna made it — by hand, with patience, and never in a hurry. For nearly four decades that conviction has filled a corner of North Valdosta with the smell of garlic, basil, and bread fresh from the oven.
Everything that can be made from scratch, is. The pasta is rolled in the back, the sauces simmer for hours, and the tiramisu is layered by hand each afternoon. Generations of Valdosta families have marked their birthdays, anniversaries, and ordinary Tuesday nights in these booths. It isn't fancy. It was never meant to be. It's just real Italian food, served like you're family.
