Sourced Down the Road

306 North began with a simple idea: the best Southern food doesn't travel far. Most of what reaches the plate here — the produce, the cheeses, the farm-raised meats — comes from growers and makers within an afternoon's drive of the Lowndes County line.

Inside a lovingly restored building on Patterson Street, the kitchen turns those ingredients into a menu that changes with the season and the harvest. It is Southern cooking with a contemporary hand — familiar enough to comfort, refined enough to surprise. Downtown Valdosta has come back to life over the last decade, and 306 North has been at the center of the table.
